HDR Photo Pricing: Three Budget Examples and the Boundary Cases
From Sam Reed’s property photography portfolio; editorial illustration, not a Same-Day HDR sample or a case study of this article.
A starting price is useful only if you know what it buys. Sam’s Same-Day HDR price is for photographs, with delivery within four hours after the shoot finishes. Drone and video are separate. A property website is not included.
Here is the published ladder, followed by examples of how to use it without turning an estimate into a misleading package total.
HDR photo rates by property size
1–1,999 sq ft: $175
2,000–2,999 sq ft: $225
3,000–3,999 sq ft: $275
4,000–4,999 sq ft: $325
5,000–5,999 sq ft: $375
6,000–6,999 sq ft: $425
7,000 sq ft and above: $0.06 per sq ft, $425 minimum
Three hypothetical requests
1,850 sq ft; HDR photos only
The listed photo band is $175. Confirm availability and property-specific scope before treating the appointment as booked.
2,600 sq ft; HDR plus requested aerial coverage
The HDR photo band is $225. The project total is $225 plus the separately confirmed aerial service—not $225 for both. Leave the aerial amount blank until it is quoted.
7,400 sq ft; main home plus a separate structure
The HDR photo rate for 7,400 sq ft is $444: 7,400 × $0.06. The $425 minimum applies to properties of 7,000 sq ft or more. Confirm the scope of the separate structure with Sam rather than assuming it is included. Do not extend the smaller-property bands by inventing another $50 increment.
What happens at exactly 2,000 square feet?
1,999 falls in the $175 band; 2,000 falls in the $225 band. Similarly, 2,999 is $225 and 3,000 is $275. Use the property information you can substantiate rather than rounding down to the nearest thousand.
What if the square-footage sources disagree?
Send both figures and explain their sources. Ask Sam to confirm the appropriate scope before booking. Do not solve a records discrepancy by choosing whichever number produces the lower fee. This pricing table is not a measurement standard, an appraisal or a determination of which spaces count in a listing.
The two-line budget note worth keeping
Photo scope: Record the property size, included spaces and HDR rate.
Other requested media: List each service and its confirmed quote, or mark it pending.
Keep “pending” visible. It prevents a teammate from copying a partial number into the seller’s budget as though it were the entire project.
These are HDR rates, not a revision to Sam’s premium flash-based, hand-edited photography. For a different finish or scope, compare the services and request the appropriate pricing.
